Florida Hit With A Range Of Product Recalls

A number of products have recently been recalled in Florida, and you may own some of these items without realizing it. If you continue to use these products, you may be injured or harmed, and it’s best to get rid of them as soon as possible. If you have already suffered injuries as a result of these dangerous products, you can file a personal injury lawsuit and recover compensation. But what are the most recent product recalls in Florida, and how exactly do you sue for damages?

Starbucks Forced to Recall Popular Drink

On February 20th, it was announced that Starbucks was recalling 300,000 vanilla Frappuccino drinks. The coffee giant had been strongly advised to do so by the FDA, although the recall was technically voluntary. The issue is simple: People are finding shards of glass inside the drinks. Drinking glass is obviously not something anyone wants to do, and this can lead to serious health problems. This is not the first time glass has been found in Starbucks drinks, and a very similar situation played out in September of 2022 – with the same exact type of drink.

Paradise Grills Recalls Outdoor Kitchens

In other news, the company Paradise Grills has been forced to recall the “GX4 Outdoor Kitchen” due to concerns about fire and injury. According to the CPSC, the liquid propane gas used in this product can accumulate inside the closed lids and cabinets. This accumulation of gas can cause an explosion when exposed to a spark – and there is a serious risk of injury whenever the user relights the grill. Apparently, there have been two reports of exploding grills recently, and both incidents have resulted in severe burns suffered by consumers. These incidents will undoubtedly lead to product liability lawsuits. The manufacturer, Paradise Grilling Systems, is based in Florida.

Disney Forced to Recall Dangerous Toys

In the latest example of a Disney lawsuit, the entertainment company has been forced to recall 16,000 figurines due to choking hazards. The toys apparently have parts that can dislodge easily. While no injuries have been reported so far, this could certainly change in the future. The toys include figurines of characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, and Stitch.
