After Someone Becomes a Payer Law Client, What Happens Next?
As soon as a potential client becomes an actual client at Payer Law, we immediately begin moving their case forward. The first step is gathering critical information. We request all relevant medical records, including hospital, emergency room, and ambulance records, as well as the police report. We also notify all involved parties—especially the other driver's insurance company—that you are now represented by an attorney. At the same time, we help ensure you receive the proper medical care as soon as possible. Prompt treatment not only supports your recovery but also helps strengthen your case and increase its potential value.

What’s Included in a Free Consultation at Payer Law?
During your free consultation at Payer Law, there are no time limits. We take as much time as needed to listen to your story, understand the facts of your case, and provide a proper analysis. Our goal is to clearly explain your rights and set realistic expectations. We believe this level of attention is essential. Unfortunately, many law firms treat every personal injury or auto accident case as the same, but we know that even cases with similar fact patterns are unique to each person. Every client has different concerns, and we make it a priority to listen carefully so we can apply our legal knowledge to your individual circumstances.

How Often Will I Hear From an Attorney or Case Manager About My Case?
After an injury victim hires us here at Payer Law, you can expect regular communication—typically at least one call per week from your case manager or attorney, and sometimes more often if there’s increased activity in your case. We pride ourselves on being an aggressive law firm that pushes every case as hard as possible. You’ll be actively involved throughout the process, including stages like discovery and depositions. We’ll be by your side every step of the way, guiding and supporting you. And if you ever call and leave a message, your case manager or attorney—whichever you prefer—will return your call within 24 hours, guaranteed.

How Do Legal Fees Work at Payer Law?
At Payer Law, our attorney’s fees are 100% contingent. That means you don’t pay anything unless we recover money for you. We also do not charge any upfront costs—we front 100% of the expenses involved in your case, all the way through to a settlement or verdict if it goes to trial. When you hire us, you never have to come out of pocket. It’s entirely free unless and until we win compensation for you.

Why I Switched Law Firms—and How Payer Law Changed Everything
Hiring James was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I had felt like I lost everything, but thanks to James, I’m now financially stable and able to move forward. I couldn’t be more satisfied with where I am now compared to how things looked in the beginning. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Payer to anyone dealing with a workers’ compensation situation in Miami.

How Much Time Does Someone in Miami Have to File a Personal Injury Lawsuit?
If you’re injured in a personal injury accident in Miami or anywhere in Florida, you have two years from the date of the accident to file a lawsuit. This is known as the statute of limitations. It used to be four years, but the law changed recently. If the injured person is a minor (under 18), that two-year period doesn’t start until they turn 18—so in most cases, they have until their 20th birthday to file a claim.

How Long Does It Take to Get a Settlement Check in a Miami Personal Injury Case?
After a typical personal injury case is resolved in Miami, it usually takes about two to four weeks for you to receive your money. This delay happens because the insurance company or defendant will require you to sign a release before issuing payment. Once that release is signed and forwarded, the check is processed and sent to us. From the date of settlement, you can generally expect to receive your funds within that two-to four-week window.

What Is the Role of PIP Insurance in Miami Auto Accident Cases?
PIP will pay up to $10,000 in medical expenses or lost wages if you’re hurt in a crash. One of the biggest benefits of PIP is that even if you caused the accident, you’re still entitled to those benefits. Also, accident victims don't have to pay back PIP coverage.
