Payer Law is proud to support Kristi House, the only Children’s Advocacy Center in Miami-Dade County dedicated to protecting children from sexual abuse, trafficking, and other forms of childhood trauma. Founded in 1995, Kristi House has spent nearly three decades providing children and families with a safe, coordinated path toward healing.
As the county’s designated Children’s Advocacy Center, Kristi House brings together seven community partner agencies under one roof to handle the legal, medical, and emotional needs of child victims. This integrated approach means families don’t have to navigate a confusing, fragmented system alone during an already difficult time. From forensic interviews to therapy and family advocacy, every service is provided at no cost to the families who need it.
Kristi House’s reach extends across Miami-Dade through satellite offices in Miami Gardens, Palmetto Bay, Naranja, and Homestead, bringing care closer to the neighborhoods where families live. The organization also runs specialized programs for survivors of child sex trafficking and operates a mental health unit recognized nationally for its evidence-based approach to treating child trauma, regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
Beyond direct services, Kristi House invests heavily in education, training, and community outreach, working to prevent abuse before it starts and equipping local professionals with the tools to recognize and respond to trauma.
At Payer Law, we believe protecting Miami-Dade’s children is one of the most important things our community can do. We’re honored to support Kristi House’s mission and grateful for the tireless, compassionate work of their staff, volunteers, and partners who show up for these children every single day.
