Roller Coaster Employee Dies In Orlando

When most of us think of roller coaster accidents, we assume that the victims are patrons. But in many cases, employees are the ones who suffer during these accidents. It goes without saying that many of these victims are hard-working Americans who are just trying to earn a living, and their injuries are every bit as tragic as those suffered by theme park patrons. So what should you do if you have been injured while working at a theme park in Orlando? Can you recover compensation for your injuries?
Whether you’re an employee or a patron, you should always get in touch with a qualified personal injury attorney as soon as possible after becoming injured at a theme park. With help from one of these legal professionals, you can strive for the best possible outcome in a highly confident manner. A personal injury lawyer in Orlando can guide you towards a fair settlement, and you can use this settlement to pay for medical expenses, missed wages, emotional distress, and any other damage that you might have incurred.
Silver Dollar City Employee Loses Life in Roller Coaster Accident
On July 22nd, it was reported that an employee at Silver Dollar City had lost their life after an accident involving a roller coaster. The company released the following statement:
“It is with great sorrow that we share the loss of a Silver Dollar City employee following an incident that occurred while working late yesterday afternoon. He was a dedicated and passionate member of our Silver Dollar City family, having worked in maintenance and construction since 2017. Our prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. Out of respect for their privacy, we are unable to provide any further information.”
As far as anyone can tell, no guests were injured in the incident – suggesting that the accident occurred during testing or maintenance. This represents the third death in an American theme park since the start of 2022.
How Did The Accident Happen?
According to the OSHA, the fatal injury involved “blunt force trauma” that the employee never recovered from. At first, the employee was hospitalized after suffering head injuries during testing and maintenance, and the individual was not able to heal from their injuries.
Aside from these sparse facts, there is very little information about the exact details of the accident. That being said, the OSHA has promised an in-depth investigation that will be completed within six months. Silver Dollar City is also apparently “working to identify the cause” of the fatal accident.
